Curtain Care & Washing Instructions

Velvet Curtains

  • Regular care: Vacuum with upholstery attachment to remove dust
  • Machine wash: Gentle cycle, cold water, mild detergent
  • Dry clean: Recommended for best results
  • Drying: Hang dry or tumble dry on low heat
  • Ironing: Steam from the back side on low heat — never press directly on velvet pile
  • Wrinkles: Hang for 24-48 hours after unpacking — most wrinkles will fall out naturally

Cotton Linen Curtains

  • Machine wash: Regular cycle, warm water, mild detergent
  • Drying: Tumble dry low or hang dry
  • Ironing: Medium heat, iron while slightly damp for best results
  • Note: Some natural wrinkling is part of cotton linen's character

General Tips

  • Avoid bleach on all fabrics
  • Wash curtains separately from other items
  • For spot cleaning, dab (don't rub) with a damp cloth
  • Regular dusting/vacuuming extends time between washes
  • Flame retardant curtains: professional dry cleaning recommended to maintain treatment
